Honest question. I haven't bought it on release because the steam reviews and the rather bad experience with Common Sense made completely uncertain whether I wanted to buy it then and there. However some time has passed and I don't know, I really don't want to spend my money and get burnt with half cooked mechanics. So, is it buy or don't buy?

On an other note, if a dev reads this, will we ever get the "Cadet Dynasty Lines" feature that we were promised since the original release back in 2012?

The complained about mechanics are in the patch not the DLC. So if you're playing the latest version you're already playing with what people don't like.

Nah. I haven't played since before Horse Lords. I'm a min-max type person, if I play, I want the full experience (except Sunset Invasion). But! I want to have good experience. I'll buy everything up to the point as soon as players start saying 'Yeah it's a nice, interesting game with balanced and well thought out mechanics' again.

Most people having problems are to do with the patch, so give that a go and if you're good then you may as well get Conclave, there's some nice new stuff there.

I don't like it, its the contradictions like when you get your reminder icon for an arrest you go to imprison that person, the window says 'As this person is part of a plot nobody will care' then underneath in red letters its says 'Going against the will of the council will result in tyranny!' so somebody does care. And also when you succeed fabricating a de jure claim the council sometimes votes against going to war over it! even worse the very chancellor who helped fabricate a claim votes against going to war.

But then again it does feel like your are dealing with people with the council though. There are other things I could say but there is a strang red line under my sentences not too sure what that is strange.
