JuliusMuta said:Well, let me be more blunt: if something is not changed so that the player can actually control his court via 1. the dynasty screen and the 2. assign position screens, the game is simply a failure. Considering most courts get to be 200+ in size with any type of time, the present state makes it IMPOSSIBLE to chose a specific character from the dynasty screen, as the portraits at the bottom of the screen become a giant blob of identity. The screen where you assign state positions (not to mention the grant a title screen) is equally ridiculous as you have to individually sift through each random courtier to find what you're looking for.
Unless Paradox finds a way to sort these screens, I would consider the game, in addition to its multitude of other faults, a failure; this is something so simple, so run-of-the-mill, so necessary for convenience and playability, that it would be a ridiculously huge design mistake for Paradox not to address.
In a game built around dynastic politics, I can't see who's in my court!
no ledger is a pain, but you can get a player made ledger by horrogoth. it's exellent and is at version 1.07a now and works great. bad news is, you have to alt-tab out to use it, but good news is, it does the job and alt-tabbing out isnt really much of a pain. here is the thread for it http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?t=140921
