I was wondering if cities 2 is an idea shared with CO or if it's just the community's concept. With the remaster it makes me think that it won't happen, and frankly, I'm fine with that. If possible, I look to get an answer from a dev.
all extra dlc and ccp plus steamworkshop items makes it a CS2?Probably not there many things to keep adding to this game now that we have a remaster for consoles since the developers know that the ps5 is a beast rendering things without using a lot of the ram. Now they put out ps vr enhanced edition for psvr2 which a game developer who worked on pavlov said the game runs faster on sony psvr 2 compared to pc with nvidia 3090 ti gpu. So no it wouldn’t make sense for a second game when you have this power and more dlc in the works.
Considering how many people still are playing Cities Skylines. It is still a popular game. CO won't find much competition on the market that's why they probably aren't in hurry to release anything new.But the game is just too basic and boring after 8-years of the same ol', same ol'
Yes you are right. The community is adding a lot to this game.As long as DLC's ccp's and workshop items keep appearing CS is progressing organically to an next level CS and there is no need to put a version number on here... community themselves are making this game such a successful release..
Well, with Cities in Motion 3 releasing, maybe it will get a lot of Cities: Skylines features incorporated into it! And be more like a city builder than just a transportation game.
CIM is a transport management game. CS is a city builder centered around traffic. So if they incorporated lots of CS into CIM, it would be more a CS2 than a CIM3. Considering CIM has almost no value as a franchise while CS has a huge one, it would be a terrible marketing move to name it CIM3.Well, with Cities in Motion 3 releasing, maybe it will get a lot of Cities: Skylines features incorporated into it! And be more like a city builder than just a transportation game.
