I know the teams shared graphics, and I looked on both team's websites and couldnt get an answer
. Im sure I misse it somewhere on the pages, but...
Yes, GIP is compatible with our own graphics pack. Even more, the use of GIP in conjunction with our CORE in Color pack is encouraged.Drewsif said:I know the teams shared graphics, and I looked on both team's websites and couldnt get an answer. Im sure I misse it somewhere on the pages, but...
Either install the CORE basic installer, GIP and then the CORE in Color graphics pack, or GIP, CORE basic installer and lastly the CORE in Color pack. Do have GIP overwrite files. Come to think of it, you can even install GIP last, provided you overwrite existing files. We're only installing dummies into the Vanilla setup to begin with. When installing the CORE in Color, select the regular Vanilla directory as the place to install them.Hamza said:I'm actually having trouble doing this. What's the proper installation way?
I do it this way:
First C.O.R.E. but without the graphic pack. Then I install the COLOR Gfx pack for C.O.R.E., then I install GIP, but I don't replace the files it asks me to place -- I keep the "original" file, assumedly the one from the COLOR Gfx pack for C.O.R.E.
The install gets messy. For instance, when starting a game as Germany, the infantry unit shows the 1947 infantryman, not the 1939. And there are other assorted issues.
How do I install GIP over CORE?
I am having the same issue.Hagar said:Either install the CORE basic installer, GIP and then the CORE in Color graphics pack, or GIP, CORE basic installer and lastly the CORE in Color pack. You should end up with the COREd tech imagery in the mod-CORE2/gfx/interface/tech folders, for instance. So it's easily verified whether the install has been succesful.![]()
Yep.Rommel22 said:I am having the same issue.
Just to make sure on the order I will post as to what I gather from the previous post, someone please correct me if I am wrong.
Install HOI 2 DD
Apply patches as required by CORE
Install CORE mod, WITHOUT the color pack.
Install GIP mod
Install color pack
Play.
Am I right?
Vanilla. The same can be said for the CORE in Color pack. Unlike GIP (which does install itself in the actual Vanilla directory) you will end up with the COREd graphics in the mod-CORE2 folder that way. If you're using the RAR rather than the installer then it needs a bit of tinkering. Check your mod-CORE2 directory if you're still having problems. The COREd graphics should be in these directories:Rommel22 said:Also, which directory am I to install GIP to? The Core2 mod directory or the vanilla directory?
I have this on the to-do list for 0.40 actually...Rommel22 said:I would like if someone would do a quick install guide for this to work with CORE.
