Oh come on!!! My Ottoman Empire, my biggest empire in EU ever... Is gone and I didn't even made Triumphal Screenshoots to post in the 'Your EU4 Empire' thread, nor images to 'Strange Screenshoots'...
And it happened in 1810! 10 years before the end of game and an achievement!
Why, just why... Two years before achieving my Dreamt Perfect Borders...
Could it be because I just verified the game files while checking if hotfix downloaded? Damn. If it crashed at any other moment, for example at 1610, I wouldn't feel like I have lost an empire
...well, it seems I have one more reason to don't like Ironman and switch to normal/modded game. Not only it forbids me from fun console commands (nextsong, switch off terra incognita and fog of war -> observe the world), not only it kicks out awesome mods, not only it doesn't allow on playing releasable countries (like Finland), not only it annoys me very much via every - month - few - seconds - of - autosaving (it's torture when you have nothing to do for like 10 years and choose high game speed, completely breaks my rhythm) but it also is able to destroy my savegames?!
Go to hell, Ironman, and take away these pointless steam achievements!
