Ironman saves broke?

I have the new Utopia expansion for Stellaris, and after playing it for a bit in an ironman game I stopped and went to bed. When I woke up, I could not access that game because it wasn't there. So I started a new game... and got the same result. Going to load game shows absolutely NO saves. Yet I know I saw it autosaving at least once!

I'm getting ready to test and see if non-ironman is having the same problem or not, just to be sure it's just ironman, but is anyone else having this problem?

I noticed something like this, when I tried to post a Ironman/Cloud Savegame for Bug Reporting. It could be the savegame is (somehow) not written to the disk until you close the game.
Did you close the game? Maybe you just left teh game running in main menu?

I haven't tried simply exiting to the main menu (I am about to test that) but exiting the game straight to desktop doesn't seem to make a save in ironman mode. I've also tested regular saving for non-ironman, and THAT works.

EDIT: I made two changes that seem to have mattered.

1- Exited to main menu instead.
2- Changed autosave to do it monthly

I know for a fact I have seen it autosave both the previous attempts to play ironman games, but it seems that simply exiting the game doesn't save or some such anymore as it used to.
