Ironman Save "altered"

My Ironman saves are continually being marked "altered" when I attempt to load them for a new game session.

No changes have been made to the save files, game data, or my computer.

Are you using any mods at all?

Please try a full clean re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "delete local content" in Steam-CK2
- manually delete all files and folders left under Steam/CK2 AND Documents/Paradox/CK2
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.

No mods. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, as per instructions twice. I have deleted all the Steam files as I was previously instructed to do in another Tech Support problem.

After doing all this, I started a new Iron Man game. No Mods. Turned off autosaves. Played for 5 minutes, saved, closed game, restarted, and the save file is marked altered.

I tried again with autosaving to the cloud, same results.

Has this always happened since you've had the game, or only since what change or update?

Please try a full clean re-install with Steam refresh:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "delete local content" in Steam-CK2
- exit Steam
- manually delete all files and folders left under Steam/CK2 AND Documents/Paradox/CK2
- manually delete everything in the Steam folder EXCEPT steam.exe and the /SteamApps/ folder (this may lose user settings in some games)
- manually run steam.exe to rebuild all that stuff
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.

Hopefully that works ... !
