Well another side effect is the lack of support for other dates. Especially when Achievements are locked at the earliest start date.
ironman is good, as long as it allow mod to use on them , and still able to get achivement, Paradox game player tend to heavily mod their game after all
Personally, i think it the best is that achivement still able to get though normal game, and ironman just a special achivement for those who enjoy difficult
I'm with this - I love Ironman, but I'd prefer if achievements were available through any type of game. As many have said, there are ways to cheat (and always will be), and some people can be incredibly motivated to cheat, so if achievements are available through the normal run of play it'll short-circuit this kind of behaviour, let anyone play with any mods and still have their achievements recognised (I'm fairly sure Podcat said in a response to the map DD that visual mods won't mess with ironman, but I'd guess that mods that change OOBs and province characteristics might - but if you could get achievements any which way, then ironman could be made compatible with any mods, as it's not just an 'honest achievement enforcement' thing).
Yeah, but apparently some people take achievement so seriously they want to avoid this kind of "cheating".I'm with this - I love Ironman, but I'd prefer if achievements were available through any type of game.
