I noticed there are difficulty options, Beginner, Normal, and Hard, as well as Ironman Mode. What is it?
It is likely very similar (if not the same) as Ironman Mode in EU4 - where the game is saved on the cloud, the console is disabled, the game autosaves at major events and every time you quit and there is only one version of the game - they use it to manage Achievements. I quite like the system.
Ironman for HOI would be awesome, but the fact it´s done in fractions of hours make it... difficult to implement, I bet. Saving every bloody hour? No thanks.
I think it's more likely to be every day or twelve hours, every hour would be a bit much.Ironman for HOI would be awesome, but the fact it´s done in fractions of hours make it... difficult to implement, I bet. Saving every bloody hour? No thanks.
Every month, what would be the point in a game that measures time by hours? Don't you think it would be too spaced out? I mean a month in a Hearts of Iron game, at the height of the war, can take hours, that means that if you lose some catastrophic battles, you can easily tab out and restart.Maybe every month like in EU4? Just because unless you have an SSD it really slows the **** out of the game.
Oh I know, I've tried Ironman in EUIV, and I don't have the best processor.Well, I play the game a lot faster than you do. Ok, I'd say every 10 days as a minimum. In a perfect world it'd be every day but the lag is unbearable if you've ever tried ironman in EUIV.
Saves aren't really processor intensive, the delay you see is based on write time to the drive. I have a desktop from 2009 but I added a SSD drive to it, EU IV is fine even with ironman enabledEither way, if it's anything like Europa Universalis IV, I probably wont use ironman, I don't really get the urge to save scum(though I understand it), and I doubt my processor could handle autosaves constantly in any reasonable amount of time.
Or whatever it is with why not-so-great computer that causes the slow load times.Saves aren't really processor intensive, the delay you see is based on write time to the drive. I have a desktop from 2009 but I added a SSD drive to it, EU IV is fine even with ironman enabled![]()

Ironman mode is the best thing to ever happen to paradox grand strategy. So glad it will be in HOI4!
