Ironman mode disabled

We are investigating this issue to see if there is anything we can do, or if it is a problem on Steams end. But do I assume correctly if I assume that you can't access any cloud based services?

Steam cloud is the most horrible thing I ever saw in a lot of time. Why are we forced to use external and buggy "tools" like this? I can't play an ironman game without constant crashes, steam cloud disconnects. Since yesterday I can't play an ironman game. Is still disabled. I did everything possible to fix it. Clean install, deleting folders, verifying game cache. Nothing works.

I'm very disappointed with the cloud and I hope that in a future, this "feature" will be either removed from the game or fixed. I want to play an ironman game without depending on steam tools. I like the achievements system but the price for it is, as I said before constant crashes, disconnects and bugs.

If you don't want the steam achievements, why do you play Ironman? If you wan't the Steam achievements, how would that work without Steam? This may sound somewhat smug, but I'm honestly curious.

We (or at least I am) still waiting for information from Steam. As for now I suggest you just sit tight. No need to re-install anything as it seems to be a problem with a server call that isn't answered for unknown reasons.
I'm really sorry it hasn't been resolved yet.

It's interesting to hear your explanations of why you play Ironman. I find it very interesting that it's so tempting to save scum and that you really want to have that option removed

Sadly it seems no amazing progress was made during the night. Steam has been nothing but helpful in trying to get this issue resolved as soon as possible. But sometimes there are technical issues that take some time to resolve.

Anyway, I will let you guys know as soon as I hear anything new!
