I've got a few mods and I'm trying to narrow down which ones are making it impossible to get achievements since I have qualified for quite a few but didn't get them in Ironman Mode.

Mods I have:
  • Color coded pop status icons - Supposedly has been confirmed to be achievement compatible.
  • No Clustered Starts - Asked creator and they said its not compatible, so I shouldn't use this when playing Ironman Mode for achievements. Next time...
  • Cat and Fox Dimorphism - Unsure if causing problems. Recent comment says that neither should cause problems.
  • Expanded Colors with 120 new colors - supposedly its savegame, achievement and ironman compatible
  • Genemod UI Plus - Asked creator and they said its not compatible with achievements/ironman. I'll have to make sure not to use it in Ironman games. Or since it doesn't seem to look weird anymore without it I might unsub to it.
I already have a save where I used No Clustered Starts so that probably screwed my Ironman mode saves over. But I'm just trying to figure out what I can/can't use to get achievements. I personally like the Expanded Colors, Cat/Fox Dimorphism, and Color coded pop status icon mods since they are purely aesthetic changes and I'm hoping that those won't cause problems.

Thanks for any help!

You're not looking it the right place; the downloaded mods are in <steam folder>/steamapps/workshop/content/281990 (Stellaris id in Steam library)

Each mod is an archive placed within a folder named <mod id on steam>. The archives themselves should have more reasonable names, so you don't actually need to go to steam and check mod ids one by one.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Strangely enough none have the "Common" folder.

As far as I can tell, any Mod breaks archievements. Inlcuding purely graphical ones.

Also as far as I can tell, the Checksum displayed in the launcher, main menu and ingame menu is only there to identify the build of the patch version. I have not seen it change ever, excecept for a new patch or new version of a beta-patch being installed.

Whatever checksum is used to enable archievements and allow joining MP games, it is not displayable ingame.

Personally, I see no good reason why "No Clustered Starts" is not an option within the game itself. It is such a minor thing to add, yet it is a tremendous quality of life improvement.

Could you show us screens of Fox and Pop Status mod folders? I'd suspect them the most.

I'll also include Cat as well since its separate but made by the same creator of the Fox dimorphism mod.

Well, these don't change checksum and Ironman should work just fine. If it doesn't - bug report.
Though I tried to enable one gameplay mod and it didn't change checksum either.

There is no god, spiritualist fools. But even the code has failed us! We are doomed! Nobody panic! There may be hope!

Okay... Now that I've had my little joke on a more serious tone. Looks like I might be making a bug report then... I've also been getting random Iron Fist governors without having ethical equations, some getting in on level up. So I could probably report two bugs with one thread. Hopefully.

Have you made sure that these three disable achievments as well?

I'll start a new Ironman save now, but really start playing after work today. I'll probably be cruising through the game and hit some quite a few potential chances for getting achievements. If I get achievements for stuff like Terraforming then I should be fine. I'd still probably do a bug report on Iron Fist since I've had that happen surprisingly often. And the darn Ethic Robots/Droids are back as well.

I'll be using color coded pop status, expanded colors (120 new colors), and the Cat/Fox Dimorphism (these are separate) mods. Hope those work fine.

Thanks for the information, so the Color coded status and expanded colors should be fine. Now to hope the Dimorphism mods work fine.
