Ironman does not allow achievements.

When I check the Ironman tab on when starting a game it claims: "The game files have been altered in some way, disabling achievements in Ironman mode. Check so you don't have a mod loaded or verify your game files."

Now the only modding I have done is with the song file in the music folder to add more music to the game which never gave me any trouble in the past. I have tried verifying the game cache which replaced the song file (I checked) which should solve the problem as that is the only modding I have done, but it still gives me the same message.

Anyone has any ideas?

Your checksum is wrong, so that will never work. Please try a full clean re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "delete local content" in Steam-CK2
- opt into the 2.2.1.1 beta in the Steam beta tab
- manually delete all files and folders left under Steam/CK2 AND Documents/Paradox/CK2
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.

Reinstalling sort of fixed the problem. I think it occurred because I used the ruler designer first, but it did not disappear when quitting or restarting the game. The same happened again when I used the ruler designer, but it was fine after restarting and my checksum is good now. That might be a bug worth looking into with the ruler designer messing with the ironman settings. In any case, thanks for the help.
