I have never been able to get out of the 1400s in Ironman because, invariably, at some point the game will intermittently disconnect and, rather than stop the game at that point, it will mess up the save game when it reconnects, removing Ironman mode from the online save.

So... Needless to say, playing in Ironman has been less-than-fruitful for me.

Is there any way that the game could produce a pop-up that says, "Woah! The game seems out of sync. If I write on top of your current save game, it will remove Ironman mode."

Now, to the game's credit, that sometimes happens. But not all the time. And if it messes up even once, your Ironman mode save game is toast.

What can be done to actually make Ironman, like.... work?
