I'm still in the beginning part of the campaign where the mercenary company is using just the Leopard dropship, but I would have expected to be able to exit the game. Every time I go to the game menu, all that is enabled to click is the Settings button. The Main Menu and Quit to Desktop buttons are disabled, with the hover-over text saying 'cannot quit when actions are being taken in combat during Ironman mode'

I've just left the game open and Alt-Tabbed away, but does anyone know why this happening?

Will these options be enabled after Weldry when the Argo arrives? Is there some other way to quit the game?

Yeah. Kill the process via task manager. It will revert to the last save point which, unfortunately, might be the very beginning of the game. One way to check is to see if there's a savegame from after the start of your campaign. If there is, then it will pick up from that. If not, then the game is completely broken.

If there is a savegame file, add it to the bug report too.

So terribly disappointing - nothing at all was saved, not even character creation. I do enjoy the Battletech game, but I truly wish that it was more reliable / stable.

I've run into this one as well... though fortunately I noticed it right after starting a new career and didn't lose anything but the character details (which I always take notes on and screenshot anyway).
