Ironman autosaves too much

Is there a way I can reduce the frequence Ironman saves the game?

Right now it's saving every 1st of the month and its making me crazy.

Theres no way to reduce it. Just hope they end up making it every 6 month or so like they did with ck2.

Only if they also increase the number of landmark moments (DOWs, rulers dying, etc.) that are autosaved. CK2 Ironman can be cheated enough as is.

You are referring to save scumming right?
Noone will use save scumming against you in ironman. So what does it matter to you or anyone else if a few cheat? If it by magic happened in MP i could understand the cheat argument. But it doesn't.
In my world autosave happen incase the game crash and the player doesn't save manually on a regular basis.

You can savescum ironman in EU4 pretty easily, even with the monthly autosave. Ironman really means nothing in that regard, honestly.

Ironman isn't the normal mode, it's the lets achieve something that means something mode. The entire intent that if you go "I achieved this... on IRONMAN" that someone will go "oh wow."

Irrelevant. You can still do that if autosaving is every 6 month.

completely agree. my part with Byzantium falls austria is up with portugal. I challenged and declared war. After a moment austria send me the white peace I make a misclick and ironman mode records without delay. I was disgusted -_-. register every 6 months as in ck 2 would be a big plus I think

Why not an automatic save once you try to reload your game to savescum? Really, the monthly saving is slowing this game down too much.

You can savescum at any time in ironman by simply copy/paste the save file. So autosave is 100% irrelevant in terms of this socalled cheat.

6 months like CK2 would be nice. Thankfully my laptop is fast enough that autosaves don't really bother me but still I'd rather wait that 1,5 seconds twice a year instead of 12.

Agreed. I know it's only 1-2 seconds (and I save games on SSD) but during that time the game completely freezes and whatever I was clicking or highlighting will click something else instead. At only speed 3, it's happening every 30 secs or so, which gets really frustrating and I eventually just give up on Ironman achievements.

Though this topic has been beaten like a dead horse, so I doubt anything will change now.
