Iron Man Save Game repeatedly corrupting

I've started several new games with the latest patch in Iron Man mode, but each becomes corrupt when I attempt to reload them and Iron Man mode no longer applies. I haven't installed any mods, and am finding this experience frustrating. As examples, please find below links to Byzantium and Denmark games:

Is there any way of recovering the iron man status of the save? I don't want to have start yet another game.

no, no way of recovering

Please do a full clean re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere (this is important!)
- "delete local content" in Steam-CK2
- in the Steam Workshop, un-subscribe from ALL mods
- manually delete all files and folders left under Steam\SteamApps\common\CK2 AND Documents\Paradox\CK2
- go to the Windows Update site and allow it to apply all patches it wants to - especially .NET updates (this is important!)
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- start the game with no mods active and test

I did all that, and started a new game. Got 200 years in and then the file corrupted again. Is there a solution to this problem? What causes it?

We have had the occasional case of this, but not consistently like you report. This has only happened since you've been on the current patch?

If you go back to a previous patch, as a test, does it happen?

I tested a Byzantine game on 2.3.6 and had the same thing happen. I wonder: does the Ironman save involve any kind of online check? My internet has been playing up lately and intermittently dropping out, which is why I've been playing CK2 which isn't online. If there is a check, is there anyway I can disable it?
