Iron Man cant load files - EU4

Hey, sorry if this is not the right place in the forums to place it. First time posting inthe forums and im a little but lost.
So, i got Craddle of Civilization (its amazing, one of my farotite expantions so far). The thing is i started a ironman with mamluks, two days ago and i cant load the save file with the ironman logo, it sais I can't get achievements because in not logged in or does not have the proper DLC ( im logged in and have all the dlcs enabled. Try it again, with Castille played like 5 years and closed the game tro try to reload. The same problem is happening. Does anyone have the same problem? is there a fix that i can do?

same for me. top of that, after running integrity check on steam, rebooted steam, even reinstalled EU4 and all DLCs, now i see the achievements button gray and when i scroll on it, the tooltip is saying that i must log into steam to enable achievements, which i am sure i did (i'm logged into my steam account before i started the game and also logged into the launcher when i started EU4).

some help plx? this is really annoying

Rho, i managed to fix my issue. i had to wipe out any EU4/Steam files/folders tho. just uninstall EU4 first, then Steam, from Control Panel, check the program files/documents for any residual files, wipe them out too and then reinstall both. you will lose all your other steam games, mods, saves, screenshots etc. so make sure you back-up everything you may need later, but don't leave anything EU4 related.

I have the same problem, "achievements cannot be earned this session".
At first a restart helped, then restarting steam and or the pc helped. Then that didn't work anymore and I found via google a similar problem on the paradox forums and tried the solution of reinstalling after getting rid of all the eu4 folders. That worked untill today. Now reinstalling doesn't help either. The weird thing is, even back-ups I made of this latest ming game that worked earlier stopped working, but back-ups of a previous lithuania game did work. Now I am going back to 1.22, but that's not a great solution because I bought the latest expansion and would like to use it.
This all started with the release of cradle of civilization, and seems to be a problem with the save game files.

playing on 1.22 is yuck now. i love the new patch and new DLC. Muslim nations are so fun and i just love the Middle East now.

I know a few ppl who would love to know how to break ironman saves :-D have you been using the "continue" button from launcher or main menu... Or loaded from inside single-player?

i never cheat, i don't like cheating and my ironman saves are broken to the point where i can't get any achievements
i loaded them from SP menu, saved games tab. not from "continue" button.

it seems PDX tech support is on line to help. i will do what he said and i'll see if it fixed it.
