Iron Cross Installation

I can play HoI 2 just fine all the way up to ADD, but when I try to install Iron Cross it eventually crashes on me. Every single time, sometimes soon than later, but it still crashes. I am thinking that I am installing the game in the wrong place, because unlike the previous versions which tell me where it is going it leaves the choice to the user. I have tried putting it in the HoI 2 folder-general, and the Doomsday folder-General.

Any advice as to how I can solve my problem? I have grown rather found of the game.

Hi

1- Install 'original hoi2' in c:\games\hoi2
2- Install Doomsday-Armageddon and arma patch 1.02 in c:\games\hoi2
3- Run the game
4- Install Iron Cross 1.00 in c:\games\hoi2
5- Install 1.03beta in c:\games\hoi2
6- Play

Shouldn't it be something like that:

1) Install Hearts of Iron 2: Doomsday (it's standalone and doesn't need Hearts of Iron 2)
2) Install Hearts of Iron 2: Doomsday - Armageddon (it an expansion to Hearts of Iron 2: Doomsday)
3) Install patch v1.2 (official one, version 1.3b is in beta state unofficial) to Hearts of Iron 2: Doomsday - Armageddon
4) Install Iron Cross
5) Install Iron Cross patch v1.03 beta 10 (or higher if it would be released)
6) Play

As for directory of instalation - it could be plain C(D)(E):\Iron Cross as well.
