Before buying a game, I always try it. I have a great "gift" from the life, in the form of my uncle, who always preorders games or buy them as soon as possible, and I can try them at his computer. Always try what you want to buy! How you handle it? It's your descision. Now we could start a little conversation about how to buy a game, but we all known the 7 letter long forbidden word, which is the answer for you.

I just got this game but will not have the time to play it for a while. So, those of you who have played it, could you tell me how the Long March is modelled when starting the earlier scenario. Is it modelled at all?

There are two events, as far as i can tell for it. First secedes some provinces, second gives you an infantry division. Its the db/events_34/eventos_mod34/chc... file.

Apart from the debate regarding the overall quality of IC at release (I don't own it, so I can't express myself), I think nobody who uses such a language can reasonably claim to be right about any kind of subject

There's no subjective right or wrong in wether or not you like the game, it's subjective opinion. I bought IC, I think it's far, far from a disaster. In fact I think it was money well spent and I am enjoying it a lot.

I bought this game mostly to support developer's effort. It's clear they spent thousands of hours building this expansion, and given how complex this is, it's not surprising there are some issues.

It will need a few months of bug fixing and seasoning like most other recent Paradox games.

Honestly, i am more pissed at still non-discounted Semper Fi for HOI3, which should have been a free update (IMO) for those of us who bought quite unfinished HOI3 at full price at initial game release.

+2 I think dar25 post sums this discussion up, its a great game and with few patches will become excellent. And if anyone has problems with this game, you clearly didn't play HoI3 at a release day.

First of all, giving proper criticism like in this thread, is showing respect towards the game, and the developers. And people do it because THEY CARE about the game. When will people get this?

I just can't believe what you are writing. People really need to understand what constructive criticism is all about. Its about respect. Yes I'll admit he's coming off a bit strong with the disaster, but I think the comment about saving your money is fine, when there are so many things to fix. Better hold off until its a "proper" release aka patched up nicely.

I am not quite sure what you want to have explained, but CAGs would be the Carrier Air Groups without which the Carrier is pretty much cannon fodder.
As for why they are missing... i have no idea.

After this and HOI3 I have decided I am NEVER purchasing a Paradox game that doesn't have at least 2 official patches released. Really, I'm sure the game designers worked their tails off. However, when I saw that they didn't even take the time to make coherent text, I knew Paradox had thrown a game onto the market that was clearly not ready for sale.

I noticed in Iron cross that poland whips up on germany when trying to start an invasion as in history and that you have less means to create a army by the time the war starts.

I'm not terribly disappointed by this expansion but it's clearly not what I expected. I don't care about the localization problems, but the fact that you can't go to certain provinces is horrible. Invasion of Great Britain was a huge pain in the ass, I had to click around 15 times on each province to give an attack order.
