I'll make this very simple.
If i download a mod, which is for free, poor layout, bad translation and just plain careless is what i expect. But i do not complain, because i benefit of other peoples work, who did this work for no money and now i can enjoy it.
If on the other hand i pay, that means i deal with professionals or people who want to be professionals.
If i tell a modder that somethings broken and he tells me to fix he is well within his rights.
But it can never be an excuse for a professional, for money game, that i can mod, tweak or whatever it.
I bought a game, not a puzzle.
I work and i study and what precious little time i have i like to spend in part with games. That is 'with playing games', not modding them, not tweaking them, not doing things the developers should do.

I understand your point of view but the simple fact remains it was rushed out the door too early. What do you expect? Seriously? Things happen that sometimes you just cant control and you should expect problems especially in the business world. You have the ability to play the game even if its not up to "your standards" point is it works maybe not the best or most polished, but it works and it will be fixed by developers. If this game has made you upset you spent money on then go back to one of your others and come back to this later when its "more to your liking". Its not the end of the world? If life throws you lemons make lemonade! Be Happy! Not !

Wow Tuscan too? Its a coup from those that cant do, but demand perfection.

not to feed the troll here, but I don't think it's unreasonable to expect from a purchased product some level of quality control. If the product was rushed out before it was ready that's hardly my fault or problem... and since when is it justifiable for anyone to sell a half-baked product anyway?

Perhaps the fault here is with PI for forcing an early release and not with the IC developers who were not ready. But for me personally, I feel like I've been "had" and will think twice before I buy anything from PI ever again.

Oh, and there are many very great, well-done games that you can purchase for < $10 (or remakes or releases of older games), so the low price is no excuse!

Iron Cross have many secrets

Hindenburg's death is there, but all it does is result in Hitler taking over as head of state - I was looking for an event chain that would remove Hitler and the Nazis from power. And there is one event detailing the effects of an Austrian Civil War (dissent / slider changes), but I could not find anything else.

Now with te new African provinces, the strategic options are very interesting
I have a I5 cpu, 4gb of ram, nvidia GT240 and very perfect with the Armaggedon
Its over 3x slower per day than AOD for me (and AOD runs faster for me than Armageddon). Makes a big difference in the long run, and I can only imagine what it would do with slower computers. They could have added a more reasonable amount of African provinces, there was no need to go that overboard.

No noticeable speed differences for me.

In any case, tigeriii, don't worry, the people who receive this positively have better things to do than complain. You know, like actually play the game instead of quitting it after seeing the tech tree.

Its obviously your computer. I just played...MP mind you...from 33 to 38 at FAST litteraly the entire time. Then ran at normal through the war years...please analyze what your running then start complaining on a board. It would be nice if you refrained from posting if your just going to spout off insane off the cuff conclusions. I think everyone + the devs are tired of hearing whining.

Nice expansion for our always beloved Hearts of Iron 2 universe; enormous potential in sight, for which reason I am very happy after spending my money purchasing Iron Cross  . Of course some bug fixes are needed (as usual with this kind of games), but I am sure developers will manage this task as soon as they can. Paradox WW2 games community should be happy to see that our product family and choice alternatives are still growing and improving. Therefore congratulations to all the IC team for this entrepreneur initiative :) .

My best regards for all of you -including the IC critic and rebel front- :D:D

:)No problems with speed playing with AoD 1.05 - in fact if I click OK on a paused Research Completed message box I have to be very quick to re-pause it before it has run on 24 hours [Very Fast setting].

I had never played Mod34 so yes the tech tree takes a little getting used to (so will follow-up Quintelosky's direction to the Tech guide) - but as a fan of revised tech trees I really like the way it opens up all sorts of different strategies.

Slightly disappointed to find AoDs 1-10 tech teams doesn't apply - but I can see that this would have entailed a huge amount of balancing to incorporate successfully.

Not going to complain for £7.99 - for the price of two magazines I've already had 8 hours enjoyable gaming with hundreds of hours to come, patches to improve things, opportunity to try it with Darkest Hour in the future.

EDIT - Found and tried out the Tech guide - a really useful little utility - highly recommended

The two "issues" you related to the tech tree aren't really issues IMO because if you have any experience with Mod34 (you don't) you know where everything is.

I don't think "oh you'd get it if you played this here mod for the base game" is a valid response to a complaint regarding the ease of understanding for the tech tree.

This is a paid-for product. It should stand on its own, not rely on experience from some mod of the base game to understand something. If the tech tree is difficult to comprehend, that's a problem the devs should look at and fix, IMO. Just dismissing it with "well if you'd played such-and-such mod you'd understand it" is a disservice to the actual, paying (key word there) customers of this game.

There is a little program to help with the tech tree comprehension delivered with the game.

I have an old Q6600 intel with 4gbram and it runs really slowly. It's slower than AOD.
I believe that those are the key words there. Ram does little or nothing after 2 for this game. Processor will be used more heavily so unless you managed to upgrade that... The increased amount of provinces makes it a bigger load. Unless you were expecting the 9$ IC purchase to come with a new computer.
