Hi, I am new here so I don't know if I am at the right place within the forum for this so excuses in advance.

I am new to CK2 and having a blast with it, I fail alot but then again I learn alot as well, trial and error so they say. But I am watching some tutorials for the game mechanics and to my surprise Ireland looks way more different then it is now, it has more counties so more territories. Was this changed in the past? cause watching some tutorials, which are highly informative btw, without the same territories is strange.

Excuse me for my english, I am from the Netherlands.

Thanks for the quick reply, that answers my question.

It makes it a little bit longer to conquer all of it. Can you give some advise on how to do it?

There are more counties so different strategies needs to be considered. I play form the Charlemagne start date.

If you have Jade Dragon you can use the border conquest cb, it will cost some gold and piety but the largest downside to it a -15 realm opinion. However since you're a count realm opinion doesn't really matter. The best way though is to fabricate claims with the chancellor (always do this on at least one province outside a de jure duchy you own that you want to conquer). Getting a good chancellor is crucial to this so you can invite people to your court through the "character finder" tab (bottom right) where you can sort people after "willing to join court: yes" and sort from highest diplomacy. If luck is by your side you shold be able to get quite a bit of claims to forge a duchy. When you have a duchy you get a free cb to take any province that is "de jure" part of it, so get enough provinces to create a duchy and then you can take the rest of it with de jure claims. If you have high intrigue you can murder people to delete truces as truces are connected to characters not countries (what a terrible shame that would be:rolleyes:). Also once you have 51% of the kingdom of Ireland you can create it and from there de jure conquer whole duchies (with jade dragon) for a price of prestige or just counties for free.

Hope this helps and good luck!:p
