Iraq and Iran - How to war against as UK

Hi,

Relatively new player here.

Both of these countries have the key oil resource that the UK is so lacking. Thus this makes them a great target for me.

However I have, in 5 starts, not be able to justify a war goal as their government never breaks the 20% party support. In all 5 games USSR ends up invading and captures both countries.

As the UK is there any way to get them to war or to get them over to my side? However I am most keen to capture the resource rather than just having it on side.

You need to boost party popularity yourself, there is either a focus that allows you to boost any political party or you already come with that as Britain.

Keep in mind that as a move it is banned in most multiplayer setups.

Just trade with the US. They're supposed to be your allies anyway

Agreed, however taking Iran and Iraq kills two birds with one stone. USSR do not get them and I get the oil.
