Hello I was planning to invade england as normandy at iron century start date and was wondering... if I use invasion cb from pope do I keep elective monarchy of england or does it change to my own realm laws?
if thats the case I am not gonna play that game because I know england never gonna manage to get rid of itno idea, just in case, save the game
so even if I conquer it I will stuck with elective monarchy... in this case getting independent and swearing loyalty to england is much better O_OIf you usurp the title / get the title automatically, you get their election system.
If you re-create the title yourself it's based on your primary title.
can I destroy my primary title? After conquering, you could always destroy the title, then recreate it...
I see then thank youif you use papal invasion it gets your succesion laws that you have on your primary title, i got confused when i conquered england as eustache and it changed into elective gavelkind.
primary title is not destroyable
You can, however, change your primary title if you have two equivalents.can I destroy my primary title?
if I was a king what is chance of pope giving me invasion cb? O_OYou can, however, change your primary title if you have two equivalents.
uhhhh.....if you use papal invasion it gets your succesion laws that you have on your primary title, i got confused when i conquered england as eustache and it changed into elective gavelkind.

uhhhh.....
do you know what I am not mad... I am tring to salvage entire kingdom right now but I am not mad because despite what you said I was expecting it writing so there will be no misinformation around(Also I suggest you to remove or correct your comment)
I did not keep my inheritance law, in fact its still elective right now and I am tring to keep my dynasty on rule still
"I, Fredirick the conquerer invading entire holy roman empire by the order pope given to me! My line will..."it happened to me in my last game, i will try doing some tests to see how it works.
edit : seems like it works for any other succesion law, just feudal elective stays as the succesion law after papal invasion.
"I, Fredirick the conquerer invading entire holy roman empire by the order pope given to me! My line will..."
"Uhhh excuuuuuuuuuuuse US sir... but we got an elective monarchy here and ..."
"Did you listen to me"
"yea we did you see... we think you and your son or foreiner so we want to elect your son less... I think after you die we will give crown back to duuuuuuuude you took it from"
"THAT DOESNT MAKE SENSE! I FORCEFULLY TOOK ENTIRE LAND HOW CAN YOU BELIVE YOUR ELECTION STILL MAT..."
"Ooooooooooor you can 'donate' some money to us to chaaaaaaaaange our minds"
the point is they didnt have much chance are they? what would happened if they decided to not do and elected an angalo saxon rulerNo, it makes perfect sense. After William the Conqueror took over England, wiped out the Anglo-Saxon nobility, laid waste to the northern marches and then died the Althing immediately elected Edward Aetheling as the next king.
