Howdy! Impressive international community here! Good to see so many different profiles. As an industrial designer, I'm interested in simulations where AI and creativity are developed. I love to create, build,and test. That's why I particularly opt for games where customisation and freedom of creation and exploration are present. I enjoy some big titles out there and also independent developers. Games and series I like (in no particular order) : SC4, TS3, Tropico, Anno 2070, Baldur's Gate, The Elder Scrolls, Divinity : Original Sin, Kerbal, X3:TC, RCT3, Spore, Fish Tycoon and many others... I wish there were more development for some of these types of games like Spore and Fish Tycoon. I'm very excited about Cities:Skylines. Also, I agree that there is no need for apologies when it comes to language. People speak different languages and there is no shame in that. The fact that so many make the effort to communicate is great.

As you can see, I live in the country whose flag I'm using as the avatar .... (not, it's not Poland, or Monaco). If you were active in the old EvW forums, you might also know where I'm from. Anyways, I live in a "small" (actually 2nd largest metropolitan, but it's still small) city of Surabaya, East of Java.

My name is Hubert, I am 31 years old. I was born in Warsaw, Poland and live here since then (I love this city, by the way!)

This is the first time I'm posting on any forum!

My first game when I got my first PC was SimCity 1. I am a huge fan of all the sequels, especially SimCity 4, which is my favorite game ever, played for hundreds of hours. I was looking forward to SimCIty 5 when it was announced and, like most of you, I was really dissapointed after the relase. I also like Cities XL and played it a lot. Generally, City Simulators was always my favorite games.

I am extremely hyped for Cities:Skylines! To be honest, I was never so hyped about any game. I read those forums since the first day the game was announced, I've watched all the videos and stuff I visit this site few times a day seeking new information and screenshots. I'm thinking about the game all the time. It's kind of insane, I know, but I also know some of you also have it

15 years old from The Netherlands and can't wait to play skylines.
I have been playing Cities XL (with mods of course) for over two years now and I thought it was time for a change, CXXL wasn't that good anyway.
I have a quite some experience making (3D) mods for Cities XL and I'm planning to continue that modding hobby with skylines
About non-computer hobbies, for the few who care, I like football/soccer a lot, both playing as watching it. And I'm a fan of cities and architecture in general, which is the reason I play city builders .
In my opinion a city builder becomes really great when it has a great modding community supplying it with mods. So I hope that will happen for Cities: Skylines too
All sounds very serious but I can't wait to have some fun with this game

Hello everyone. Just registered yesterday.

I'm Wiebe and I live in Leiden, Netherlands. I've been playing city sims since simcity 1 and have always been a fan. Missed out on simcity5/sc2013 due to a time of having kids and a crappy computer. Maybe that was not so bad. Just got burned preordering cities xxl. Man what a let down. I am exited about skylines. This really looks promising.

Just been playing a bit of simcity 4 again, just to scratch that itch until march 10th. Was looking at my city and realized that 90% of my screen was mods made by the community to make the game as good as it is. The only thing maxis/the engine does is keep track of my sims hapiness, the mods make it look good. I hope we will have an active community to make this game as great. Sadly I cant model.

I expected Rome II when this game was announced. It was a disappointment, but seeing how this game is shaping and how CO is open and transparent, I do believe this could be the true successor to SC4. As many, I do not like Societies and SC13 (although I finally boughtthe later when some friends said they liked it. I did not).

My name is Adrian and I am from Germany. Soon I will be 20 and a student. I started with the city-building genre when I bought Sim City 3000 back in the day and sometimes I still do play this splendid game. I then went on with Sim City 4 which was goodas well, but then followed Societies and the downfall of SimCity begun. I was really disappoint when I played SC2013 and never played it since then. Now I am eagerly awaiting this game to be released.

Paradox is producing my favourit games such as HoI3, Vic2, EuIII/IV, CKII, but I also like to play the Total War series, starting with Rome 1 and ending with Attila.

PS: Andreas Waldetoft makes the best Game-Soundtracks in the world!

I'm 27 years old and really excited about this game.
Currently I'm studying Geomatics Engineering at university and working in a land surveying firm. That said, I won't have that much time to play this awesome game.
As most of you, I also played SC3000, SC4 and CXL. I'm also a big fan of Diablo series (and kind of disappointed with last one) and strategy games in general.

Hello everyone. My name is Petreak, which is a play off of my real name Patrick. I am 43 and I live in a suburb of Nashville Tennessee called Antioch. Yes, like the Holy Hand Grenade.
I have been a city builder fan going back to the original SimCity. I have played so many City builder games over the years, I can't remember them all. If it exists, I have probably played it.
I am in to space games as well and helped run a website for the game Spore in 2008. That was cool because it allowed me to be able to go visit the Maxis Offices in California. I was a bit disappointed though. Will Wright, the creator of SimCity, wasn't in the office that day. I SO wanted to meet him. I have always loved Maxis and their Sim games, but man, I was SO disappointed with SimCity 2013. It had so much potential to be a great game. I think CSL will be the city builder I have been looking for though.

Speaking of Space games, I also run a fansite for the yet to be released No Man's Sky. It's looking like it's going to be an amazing game. Drop in to my forums and say hello!

Allow me to explain. When Cities Skylines was announced, I didn't play a city builder in a long time. I rather hoped not for a roman themed game, but rather for a political game (as in party politic). I went in this forum a couple of times, but wasn't convinced until a few days ago that this was really Simcity's succesor. The team attitude was a big part if this.

I started playing city building games way back in the early 1990's with SimCity 2000 on Mac. I've owned every copy of SimCity from then onward. I was looking forward to the last SimCity but was disappointed the areas were so small.

I've been playing City Life then Cities XL for about 7 years now and honestly stumbles upon Cities Skylines totally on accident. Finding it easily made my week and the more I read the more excited I get about this game. I can't wait to finally get my hands on it.
