Interrupted research

What happens to a research project that is interrupted? for example when the tech team working on it disappears or when your tech slots decrease.

Will the progress be lost or can another tech team take up the work where it was left off?
If so, does that mean that you can switch tech teams by cancelling research and put another team on it?

Really nice I have a question, when you loose IC to support a tech team is the research completely lost?

No it keeps going until the research is finished. You just can’t start a new project when it is done.

What if you cancel it? I really hated that about HOI2, when you canceled it you would have to start over when you got back to it.
