Maybe not fixed, but tightened. Let's see how it plays first .

QUOTE]
That would be elegant, except that if the Byzantine event triggers first, then the caliphate conquers the provinces necessary to gain Syrian culture, then those provinces are reconquered ... etc etc
In this case, better to have them as separate objects.

Imrryran said:My two cents concerning the colonisation :
As usal the player has no problem when he wants to colonise. As Byzantium I took Texas+Louisiane+Mississipi without any difficulty. There was nobody there except natives.
However, IA-played Hanseatic League can't manage to colonise the USA (or the place they were in real history). It doesn't seem able to win over the haudenosse (or whatever it's spelled) and to efficiently explore the coast. Eire did better in Canada, probably because the area is empty and it began the exploration before the League.
I think IA-played League should be tweaked to be more efficient, maybe with some explorers or conquistadors. In Caribbean it successfully colonise some islands.
South America is a mess, with mayas, bavarian, irish, zapotec (after a war I guess) , genoese and hanseatic having colonise some provinces along the brasilian coast. Is this intended ? Or should some "blocks" appear ?
In addition to that, in 1750 California is empty. Which nation has it as a goal in its AI file ?
