Download Beta 6.33 Here.

Another large beta, delivered as promised by Sunday night.

It isn't as complete as I wanted it to be, in that it is missing new leader/monarch lists for Denmark and Sweden and the reformation for both these countries. There is still a lot of new material here.

Thanks to beregic, mikl, AhmedAA and Calipah especially for this beta.

Priority testing in the following areas:

1. Kalmar
2. German Reformation
3. Finland

Bughunting

Resolved the leader tag 32821 for Egypt.

Qubbut event for Caliphate in the Jerusalem file now only triggers from the JER event that precedes it.

Removed the dates from a number of Armenian events that are also only supposed to trigger off BYZ events.

Removed the extra Manchu capital.

Altered the trigger for one of the Maya religious events so that it will work.

Correct triggers for the Rome events if occupied by nonPapal states so that it doesn't occur twice. (Finally found the problem.)

Extended dates for the Petty Emirs event so that you are more likely to fulfill the requirements.

Housekeeping

Added all of the Indian provinces as cores for each of the Indian states to encourage hostility in the ai.

Added many changes to tax values, known provinces and pop levels in the Horn of Africa, as per the requests made to me by Ahmed.

Changed Danzig's tag to DEL to accommodate the return of Denmark. I hope I got all the places it needs to be changed ...

Added new flag/shield sets for the ratakoura Rebellion and for Iran (Persia). Changed the name of Persia to Iran.

Awhaz is now Arabic culture.

Tabriz begins with a weapons manufactury. (Sorry, what was that? Yes, it does, the ancient city of weaponsmiths. But, see Miscellaneous ).

Benin

Capital moved to Benin from Kano.

Ben Zaa

Altered the effects of the Empire of the Sun so that the provincetax effects are not so radical.

Caliphate

Now has a permanent CB on the Il-Khanate and Awhaz is now a core province.

Denmark

Yes, Denmark is back in, either as a religious revolter from a protestant Kalmar, or if the Union collapses. No Danish events just yet, except for many those in the Kalmar file should they control Svealand.

Dichali

Updated the eligious conversion events to give options for all the variations, no protestants, Cordoba sunni etc.

Epochal_Iberian

The crusade has proven to be a little too tough. Removed the free troops and made some of the European states less likely to join the crusade.

Epochal_Meditaranean

Rebuilt the 'Rock of Gibraltar' events from Cordoba to now be generic, open to whichever state controls both sides of the straights. Redid the triggers and many of the effects.

Epochal_German

New file, principally for the German reformation events. So far, only those for the standard reformation, not the alternative one we are still working on.

mikl updated this file to include all of the German state reformations, building them here rather than in each separate state file, so that they can be more easily located. For each German state, there is an event for conversion to protestant or not, then later an event to force the rest of the country to convert. More dramatic than the vanilla version of the reformation, no doubt about it!

In addition, I created an event for each province that can happen randomly only once to each German owner that might see a revolt or reconversion in a particular province to its 'natural' state. Requires you and the province to be the same religion that is 'wrong' for that province.

Golden Horde

To ease up a bit on the Horde, the periods during which the Blue and White Hordes and Astrakhan can revolt are limited to the three periods of civil strife. When Berke Subedai comes to power, he now inherits Astrakhan as well.

Haudenosaunee

Updated all of the religious conversion events to include the sunni should Cordoba not go Mutazelite. Also altered the triggers to make things a little cleaner.

Il-Khanate

Now does not have Persian or Baluchi culture at game start. Begins with a permanent CB on the Caliphate.

Some additional events care of Calipah.

Iran

Changed Persia to Iran and added new monarch lists from Calipah. Removed all of the AGCEEP events that were filler.

Kalmar

Continued rebuilding and renumering. This is the really big nation change for this mod.

The war against Finland (under the Pohjanherra dynasty) now has an early resolution event available in the first 10 years of the conflict called the Finnish Accession, wherein a partly-controlled Finland gives in in exchange for concession on religion, taxes and noble rights. If you grant these, you inherit Finland, get cores, Ugric culture etc, but some hard DP hits, and tax reductions. Otherwise, you can fight on and not get the tax and DP hits. But then Ugric culture wont be yours. Likewise, should Kalmar fail to win this war, the effects are worse, with loss military and international prestige.

Added a second series of events near the end of the 1500s for a final 'peace' with Finland or final absorbtion.

Rebuilt the Sture/Tott civil war into a more interesting and divisive sequence that can also result in the disintegration of the Union. The original event was really just a dull stab-and-RR type event.

The Reformation events are now a lot more intersting, with different events based upon earlier dynastic choices. Kalmar can stay Catholic, go protestant or go reformed after a catholic revival period and another civil war. Depending on choices, Denmark can be a protestant revolter, Finland can revolt and Norway can revolt. If the final result of the civil war is Reformed, this ends the monarchy in all but name. If the catholic monarchy is backed in that event stream, it becomes absolutist. Each of the many variants create different flags which come into play in succeeding events, typically meaning different versions of the same event, or the event is exclusive to a particular flag.

There are a host of social reform, administrative reform, agricultural reform, military reform, mercantilist reform events, all of which have been made province-based for province 254. They can happen for Finland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden and of course the Union, depending on who owns it. Obviously, if Kalmar doesn't own it, it doesn't exist anymore. Too many events to mention here, check out the file.

If the Rigsrad (for Kalmar) for Neuvosto (for Finland) flags exist, then there are many events to reflect the changing composition of the particular parliament.

Rebuilt the East Indies Company to be more complex and give greater risk and value to the decisions you take.

If the absolutist monarchy is the result of the reformation, there is a reaction against it in the late 1700s. If not, then there is an absolutist movement in the same period, unless reformed. Reformed Kalmar gets instead a reaction to its puritanism. Fun, fun , fun.

Maya

Added three extra religious choice events to account for the new reformation (ie no protestantism).

Miscellaneous

Added an event for Tabriz whenever its owner gets to landtech 12. Basically, you need to upgrade the smiths' skills at that point, pay 700 ducats or lose the manu.

Province Religion

Completed this by adding all the events for Scandinavian and Norweigian culture provinces.

Random Events

Added a new event Religious Colonists which grants european countries 3 colonists between the advent of protestantism and the edict of tolerance.

Enacted many of Beregic's suggested changes to classic random events, see threads for more details.

Revolt.txt

Made many changes to dates for some countries and brought back Denmark. Sweden can only exist if the Union reverts to that.

Sweden

As with Denmark, essentially can only exist if the Union collapses. No new events just yet, but see the Kalmar file.

Tlemcen

Adjust the ai events so that it loses ferocity after 5 years of its jihad.

Wales

Gave Wales Cymric culture (duh) and altered some of its initial DP sliders.

Zanj

Added Lindi, Mtawa and Niassa as trading posts at game start. Now begins in an alliance with Somalia.

I have just now re-uploaded 6.33 with some bug fixes. Ahmed's testing located some monarch number duplications of the Ghendid Horde and all the Danish monarchs.

I also removed the extra capital for Adal. 6.32 had an extra capital for the Manchu. I suspect that these faults were the reason for so many CTDs in these betas.

Did the bug fix take care of the CTD within the first 15 years, or was that my computer?

All of the last three (or four) betas had a country with a double capital. These are the betas that drew most CTD complaints. I suspect that with this problem now sorted, CTDs should lessen.
