International version: installable in Germany?

Hey,

we had the topic yesterday. Will the international version be installable (and playable) in Germany - assuming it is already activated on that specific account?

@Had a dad Did you have the opportunity to talk to @BjornB about this? I didn't see any news in the german version FAQ.

Why don't you write to Steam support? It's their issue. This should get you a response:

"Hey,

German here, living in Germany. Registered international key with you, even though I know you are not allowed to distribute that in Germany. I managed to get it activated before you blocked everyone else. German law blah blah. Will you ignore the law, leave yourselves open to prosecution and let me download it? Just wondering."

I probably should ignore this sarcasic post - but since you can travel in Europe as you like, there are some ppl. who travel between countries

The faq answered this if you buy the international version then go to germany you will still have the international version.

Geo-Locks are something Publishers decide to use, not something Valve enforces.

Yes, paradox isnt allowed to sell or market the international version in germany. As a german you are allowed to own the international version and to play it tho.

Except for the part where Steam implements the locks and functionally enforces their use under the direction of the publisher.

You have a home, with a registered address in Germany, with a German bank account, a German job, registered to pay tax in Germany and get social benefits and healthcare there? You use German companies to provide your Internet, your phone and your electricity?

You are what is commonly known as "German" and subject to the laws of Germany. Tell that to Steam and see what they say.

You shouldn't reopen locked threads, it usually ends in tears. An email to Paradox support would probably be your best bet if you are really interested in knowing.
