I have started some Masochistic game.
The last Romuva Lettigalian ruler (unfortunately non-historic) is chief Dovyat von Memel vassal of High Chiefdom of Lithuania (1220 start). All his tribesmen in Latvia are under Teutones Order, as well such is the fate of Prussians. My goal is to re-conquer those territories, but it seems impossible right now Territory is backwards, Lithuanians dont have kingdom yet, only high chiefdoms, that split upon ruler's death.
I can but hope that my Lithuanian masters will at least keep their borders in tact.

Or you can create a bunch of independant MR from your conquered coasts in Arabia/Persia and wait for them to build trade posts? that'd require time tho.
I have no time for this. And like I already sayed the trade post are already build so I have to conquer the county
And you can't build silk road trade post without owning a county, MR too. I had to actually conquer Antioch before I was allowed to build trade post as Venice. I joined the war against whoever owned Antioch before to siege and destroy trade post, but then it didn't matter.
My 1337 Venice game is a fail. I am running out of time for the Who Needs Vasco da Gama? achievement, I wasn't able to get the Trade Empire achivemenemt and Timur didn't come along. At least I got the Dream Home.
How do I manage to become a MR. Is this the give a son a city and abduce strategy?
I'd like to know that too. Especially if it's possible to do in the 867 or 1066 start dates.
What a great Idea this is. I started as a Jylland in 867 and I am currently King of Brittany, already christian but still tribal. I will go for an MR Brittany. England got formed by the Anglo-Saxon. My next steps are become MR, build up 100 year and the I start to get a claim on England in try to Invade like William did. For late game I try to achieve the rest of the MR achiements.
