So I am playing as Germany. Italy is in faction prior to invasion of Poland. I get my armies in place. I note that ever 4 or 5 counties (or is it provinces) there is an Italian infantry present. OK so I invade. Win. Woot me.
I take Netherlands and Belgium. I set up 3 armies along France in the north. I set attack plans. I wait for full ready. A month passes. Not ready yet? Hmmm.
The reason is because a level 10 fort that is not in any battle plan is being attacked by 1 Italian infantry. That attack pulls several of my divisions into it. Because the units are not in position, its not ready. And I lost over 200K in men because of that attack as well as other similar attacks. And I think the AI is consuming my supplies. While not much in an individual area. but a drop taken a few dozen times over a front adds up.
I tried removing Italy from the faction. But his units sit there and still attack.
Also I have to put 50 plus infantry into a garrison army. I protect coast, ports, and forts. Half of the AI does not go to a coast at all. They sit exactly where they were before the order. This doesn't happen all the time. But enough to be a pain in the you know where. I've placed all divisions in a standard area that is not city, airbase, port, coast, etc. give the order. many don't move and coastline has huge gaps of no troops. UGH!!!!
Thank you for looking and my rant.
