In an effort to reduce the amount of popups that have to be clicked, and to increase realism, would it be an idea to increase the MTTH on the events relating to heresy and 'finding an interest in the new faith'? Especialy since this has led to about 1/4 of my court being heretics, which seems a bit odd...

I don't think it's odd personally. In the cathar provinces, such as Southern France, many lower rank nobles (read: courtiers) and even some counts converted to catharism. If you don't want your court turning heretical, then invent religious stringency.

Yeah but it's not confined to southern france; I checked out the AI courts and about 1/4 to 1/5 of the courtiers in Catholic Europe seem to have gone heretic.

Personaly, I think that's a bit over the top.

If your ruler is a heretic and the vassals too, will you still get the penalty regarding loyalty? I think it should be possible that a whole country goes heretic (cathars, hussites, lollards etc.).

their main weapon is popups... events and popups... their TWO main weapons are popups, events, Church Supremacy.... amongst their weaponry are such diverse elements as popups, events, Church Supremacy, an almost fanatical devotion to the Papal Controler, and nice, red uniforms....

No, I meant when the ruler is heretic and vassals aren't, there is loyalty penalty. :p
