I saw episode VII and though it was really good I was a little upset that they skipped past a lot of EU content or just pretended it never existed, they skipped through 2 or 3 wars and some of the EU characters don't exist. I thought I knew what ep VII was going to be about or at lest reference, but I was completely wrong ep VII VIII IX will go off in a completely different direction.

Spitballing.

Maybe Fitzgerald's alien cousin was in charge of some critical part of the planetary defenses come the invasion and was 'distracted' by an enemy spy leaving the planet open for invasion. He survived and thanks to his charms the spy put in a good word for the Sith and he was made the 'High Commander' of the surviving planetary defense forces which are assigned to policing their own people as sell outs.

Character would have to tread carefully since his own people see him as a potential traitor and sell out, and the sith as unreliable and incapable, but if he plays it right he'll be a notable player.

I could see that happening, some soldiers operate out of fear of the Sith anyway, plus pitting the locals against the locals keeps them from uniting and trying to over throw the occupation.... which even if they tried probably wouldn't work well.

My character
name: Jaren Mepou
age: 19
height: 5'1
hair: mid length blonde
eyes: golden brown
skin tone: tan
I would like to be a force sensitive human with above average force power, only thing he has no idea how to control it so he is afraid to use his power. He also has a bit of a gentle giant complex being that he is really powerful but doesn't want to hurt anyone.

Game seems good and since we all start on one planet rather than spread out interaction should be good. The mechanics seem fine overly complicated mechanics and rules can hinder a game but too little mechanics can leave people not sure what to do next. I'm curious on how submitting orders will work and what dictates if they succeed or fail. Other than that I'm excited to see how this planet develops.

Ahhh... Shucks, I'm honored you changed your first name for me.

(In other news; I know this is the Sith Empire, but do we even have Barons, Dukes, and etc...? Doesn't the Empire generally send some Sith Administration or Military?)

Disney acts like EU doesn't exist because they don't think it does, remember? Disney declared EU uncanon.

Appreciate the enthusiasm, I'm writing the OP at the moment, expect the thread to launch fairly soon, as in within a day or so. The official thread will have a proper sign-up sheet that will need to be PMed to me prior to approval, since we'll likely need to discuss everyone's asset and biography, and I don't wish to clutter the thread.

Beyond that, some general things: Boztrok did have a sort of garrison army and fleet, but it has sort of been neutered and merged with Imperial command. In a way, it exists, but it's dominated by Sith authorities, so the old guard of native officers are likely chaffing under this new administration and forced down the hierarchy. Also, I am not allowing a PC to control the whole fleet or army, but to be high ranking officers is fine as a potential asset.

I'll also say that you should take into account the Star Wars universe when coming up with original characters, which includes names. I would prefer not to see generic Earthling aristocrats and what not.

Regarding force-sensitives, people will all generally be around the same skill level of the force. Since there's no good way to quantify the force (Midi-chlorians amirite?), I'm using this as a way to equalize the playing field and ensure everyone has an equal chance to be cool force characters.

The Resistance? If you mean the one in Episode 7, then that doesn't exist yet. 3,367 BBY is like 3,400 years before Episode 7. You probably could be a Republic Spy or Commando on a stealth mission however.

(First Sith Empire vs the Old Republic... Just like SWTOR the MMO.)
No not that resistance, just an insurgent on the planet fighting against Sith opression.

I'm not 100% sure of the hierarchy of Imperial Intelligence at this time, however I'll say you can be an important Minder over the capital and one of the go-to leaders, however you report to a planetary head.

I'm not as familiar with this time period in Star Wars lore, did the Sith Empire nationalize all the military industries?

I imagine they hold a tight grasp over military industries, though on a planet like Boztrok that's been recently subjugated, they would be somewhat hands-off unless so long as you didn't cause trouble and produced shipments for them.

I'm not as familiar with this time period in Star Wars lore, did the Sith Empire nationalize all the military industries?

The Sith Empire built or captured and most certainly owns all of the military shipyards, and armament factories across the Empire.

They were kicked out of the known galaxy during the Great-Hyperspace war by the tyrannical Galactic Republic and forced to rebuild everything from the ground up on a back-water world known as Dromund Kaas that is currently the thriving swampy capital of the glorious Empire. Only through the undying Emperor's eternal wisdom (Think of the Emperor from Warhammer 40k when you hear Emperor in this time-period, but not a skeleton, and still moving!) that he has obtained victory over death itself and brought the might of the Empire that we have spent so long rebuilding down upon to the decadent and corrupt Galactic Republic. However, our reconquista is not yet over, half of the galaxy is still under the tyrannical occupation of the republic! Glory to the Empire!
(Actually, most of the Hutts still managed to keep all of their property as far as I know, but that's just cause they made deals with the Empire, and 'assisted' in 'smoothing' over the 'integration' process.)

I'm not 100% sure of the hierarchy of Imperial Intelligence at this time, however I'll say you can be an important Minder over the capital and one of the go-to leaders, however you report to a planetary head.

The Hierarchy of I.I. is pretty simple according to SWTOR.

Minister of Intelligence>Keeper>Minders>Ciphers>Fixers (And Other Supporting Staff roles, like Watchers and Informers go with Fixers)

The Minister of Intelligence and Keeper are both on Dromond Kaas, basically the Keeper is just the Minister's lieutenant-commander. Each planet has a cell, or possibly more depending on how large the planet is. Each Cell is managed by a Minder who processes information and acts as the Handler and Team-Captain. Ciphers are general-purpose field agents that report to a Minder. They are tipped off by Informers and Watchers and Fixers are utility experts that assist Ciphers and Minders in-and-out of field.

I believe their are also general purpose agents, with Ciphers being the best of the best. Basically the 00s of the Imperial Intel.

Eh? I have always thought its like the Gestapo where they have a couple of field officers, a manager, and have some support staff, but mostly rely on informers.
Nah, I think they have a bunch of field officers. It is a much larger organization than the Republic SIS, which I think might rely on informers more. I know during your mission on Nal Hutta and maybe in Kaas City that you are just a field agent.
