Warm-bloods are not welcome. Only those born of the egg will be saved!

Regarding your house background, I like it. Since the current, ailing King has a brother exiled for treason, the imprisoned former Lord of Still Waters could be a former partisan of his.

Re did Vestakaland's CoA because I wasn't happy. Thoughts?

Vestakaland-1.png

And a new map of the world, with the Primus territory added. The name is just a place holder, as is Bulkana, Slavatia (ideas what to do with those 2 guys?).

May I assume that Bulkana and Slavatia are slavic in origin?

Husaruli could work for one. It's a translated version of Hussar (I am using Romanian as their alphabet is basically Latin).

Using the same method, you could try Porumb for the other. Other names that could work:

Flacara
Fiara
Zahar
Balaur
Iarba
Pusca

Since most translations tend to be underwhelming, we could always do what you seem to have done for the other nations, and add on nation-like prefixes and suffixes.
ie:
Puskia/Puscia
Baluria
Fiaria

My favorites are Husaruli, Fiaria, Baluria, Flacara, and Porumb.

Of course, you could always say Slavaria and Bulgania or some such.

So Deag, it appears that nobody likes Norwald. As such, I may be the one who plays as them, since I wanted a lesser land instead. While I still would like to explore my options with Sudwald, I also very much like your initial writing about Norwald. If I indeed should play the great house over the minor Proxie-Princeship, I would not terribly mind. However, as it appears this is likely, I would like to tail them a tad to my personal preferences, if you do not mind. Your ideas of their crest and words are interesting, but most definitely do not fit my style. I would have some trouble. As such, I would like to make the following changes- as nothing has been mentioned or worked upon them since virtually the first post, I dont think this is that big of an issue:

Your shield is a stag skull with golden horns. Doom has not made this yet, and as such I feel inclined to ask for him to make something more akin to this:

A half light-grey, half dark-grey field with a white thorn branch(es) on it.
I mocked that up in paint in about five minutes. Unless you dont mind looking at its crudeness, I'd like some professional help :p

The words, I would like to change from "One Shot" to "Safe as Snow." This still has sinister connotation, for the snow can hide much, and is extremely violent to the human body. And at the same time, it can form a layer of defense for those skilled in surviving in subarctic climes.

I love everything else about the history and people of the land.

One more thing I would like to see at least explained is the names of the settlements in Norwald, Storskogen and Skargard. Fjelfort is awesome, Torskviken is awesome, Forest Tower is unimaginative but works. Ristalina and Rautio sound feminine, and don't stick to the theme so far shown. They are survivable, but not nearly as bad as Blasigtpoang...wut? I know it means windy points, which makes sense for the mountains, but I would much rather prefer something like Kalla Höjder, cold heights. Batuvaran is not as bad in my opinion, but still sounds off. Both Blasigtpoang and Batuvaran sound asian, and I think should be replaced with more traditcionally nordic-sounding names. As mentioned, I like Kalla Höjder, and Batuvaran could be Snöfält, snow field.

IMHO Ristalina could be Walterhem, home of Walter, and Rautio could be Klarjord, clear soil. Both stick true to the narrative written, as Walterhem is the seat where Walter settled, and Klarjord is the arable land given to his nobles, along with Snofalt, a clearing which can grow crops but gets more snow than Klarjord as it is higher and farther from the relatively speaking river, being in the fore of a great mountain range.

I am not trying to trash on Mr. Santiago, who put remarkable effort into this map, which I most definitely would be unable to make. Nor am I trying to down talk the imaginative setting Deag put forth early in this thread. I simply would like to express my opinion about an aspect of this game which I may be forced upon. If any of this could be implemented (of course, all would be nice) I would be happy, but I would not be distraught by any means if none of this was considered.

Sure, I don't mind taking a crack at a CoA for you and your vassals. If you'll tell me what in god's name that thing on your CoA is s'posed to be of course. :p

Sorry, I edited that in a minute ago. They are branches with thorns.

As for the vassals, well the land-based one could be the skull and gold horns deag described, while the island one could be a light blue field with a silver fish supporting a stylized mountain of white. Dunno; take free reign of the latter. Don't forget, its settlements are called windy heights and cod town!

Since it's nearing the end of the school year, I'll be able to play some forum games. I would like to take Norwald or storskogen but I need to know about their situation seeing as they border the wilderlings.

Cool! It appears I shall not have to play as them anyway. They were starting to grow on me, but I really like my Sudwald :)

Ok, so based on Deag's initial post about them, the wilderlings in the immediate vicinity to Norwald are vassals of that house, and contribute to your army. However, deeper in the woods there are wild wilderlings who pledge loyalty to no man. The cultures have started to mesh, and footholds have been established militarily, religiously, and economically by Neumarkians. Wilderling traditions such as saunas and snowshoes are working their way into Neumarkian society up north in turn. Your army typically has wildly fierce light infantry of wilderlings, supported with hardy, lightly armored knights and Neumarkian archers. Heavier Neumarkian men-at-arms are also present to a lesser degree then in the south.

Read the intro on page 1 for everything

Oh, by the way it appears Mr. Santiago made my St. Marcus church be named St. Andrew, like the monastary? was this on purpose?

I like "Safe as snow" and I'm cool with changing the sigil. The place names are mostly mangled Finnish, I forget what they meant but I can look them up.

The house name for the Island vassal of Norwald means "black pot." It was originally going to be Black Beard but a typo on my part changed the meaning, and I decided I liked it. The idea is that they are wilderlings who made their living fishing, trading and raiding, and their motto is Gold and Iron. Quality ironware might be rare up north, maybe they are named after a treasured giant cauldron?

Maybe we can go forward with Sudwald instead of having a player in Middlands?

Lordy be, do we really need someone for Midlands? I thought that was Upland, which if I recall was called for recently, so I thought we were good. I'm perfectly fine with changing, if you'd grant me the right of changing any said material of theirs to my liking. I will stick to anything you deem exceedingly important, but I would like to have some control over its flavor.

I shall put something up soon!

Practically speaking, I don't think it would do any harm to have you play the Prince-Proxy of Sudwald, as it's a title with the same essential rank as the Great Lords and can easily be balanced with them. So if it's your first choice, go right ahead. We can always just leave Midlands npc for the start in case someone else wants to jump in.
