I got the map to work! :D But before I post any pictures of it, I'm going to do the forts of Western Europe (Western Europe will be covered by level 3 land forts until WWI ends). However, here is what needs to be done:

  1. All countries lack OOBs. We need someone to research them and put them into the mod. Qing China will be assumed to have the same OOB as the Republic of China in 1917.
  2. The unit stats have not yet been done. Defensiveness and toughness should be very high (50 -70 should be enough) in order to make longer battles.
  3. Though this is a relatively minor thing, there are no graphics.
  4. Events. We have a handful of instability events that I wrote for the Qing, and IIRC that's it.

The Qing Empire is tag U99 now. The problem was that U01 is already being used.

As far as i know the Royalist rebellion was only around the Beijing area and was swiftly crushed, i don't think they would have the entire army. Perhaps tip the odds in their favour a little, so they are actually playable, but an AI Qing should go down fast.

The rebellion took place (in this timeline anyway) in 1916 (yes, I know that it historically took place in 1917), but it has to be this way, as this mod comes from Uzikbombardier's thread that asked people to vote on what a new mod should be. The ones that won were:

1. Qing Empire still exists
2. An European Union created by German Communists (this will be the main "storyline" of the mod, though there will probably be one or two secondary ones)
3. The game takes place between when the First and Second World Wars historically happened.

So basically, the Qing have to exist from the outset as China. However, you may be right about hte army. Perhaps we should have a smaller starting army as China, and actually this would make more sense gameplay-wise as it will make it much more difficult for a Human China to hope to reconquer all of the Chinese minor revolters that will appear.

The war could still have swung either way that year, except for the Russian empire. But there isn't really any harm in a small Qing faction arriving a year early, i suppose. Gives them time to consolidate. Perhaps have them clinging on in Inner Mongolia and the plateau the chinese communists occupy in OTL 1936?

Zhang Xun was quite old, born in the 1850s, so any ideas on who will succeed him as prime minister?

No, it does start in 1917. What I'm saying is that in this timeline the Royalist Rebellion took place one year earlier and succeeded, leading to a China (technically) united, but there will be many Chinese minor revolters that will appear in game.

How about the Qing controlling the area Shanxi and Communist China control in the vanilla scenario, along with a chunk of north central china, with a Guomindang faction down in Guandong? It could be possible for the GMD to go left-wing in this scenario, since the Qing would attract some of the right wingers.

Looks awsome, could somebody edit the first page with some general history, like for example why Germany is sooo monster huge? :eek:

But looks really great, must say I am a bit impressed on how far you guys have made it so far. May I suggest that you guys perhaps should borrrow events from some of the many other mods out there, like the first world war mod, and the 33 and 34 mod.

Well I think I have some things that I could help with then. The biggest thing is a book that is almost 2,000 pages long with the first third of it being the Rise of the Third Reich, it has all the current events of the time, or at least major ones, how the nationalist part of National Socialism won out and it starts a train of thought (but never finishes it) about what would have happened if the socialism part won out. One part that I like is the fact that it presents the Wiemar Republic as more of a democratic HRE then anything else and points out how that is true. So I can start giving you things on Germany during the inner war years.
