I think it would be a cool idea if in a future DLC or vanilla update, we got the ability to secretly build relations with a devouring swarm/fanatic purifiers, and new diplomacy options that allow you to send them fleets in return of them not attacking you

This is my first post, so I really don't know what I'm doing, but I have been playing stellaris for a while

Sending them fleet looks like a very very very stupid idea. The sooner or later they surely will use our own
ships against us. Also they are fanatically. Diplomacy with them will lead to nothing cause they will not listen
to you. The only thing they would do is to instantly kill your diplomat and send his head back to you as sign
the hell is coming over you.

I need to say in my current game i am still testing my empire galaxy setup. Having 4 fanatical purifiers, one swarm
and one exterminator. Will change this again a bit cause now there are not enough slaves on the market haha.
But i hate rounds with 30 empires all just doing diplomatics. Or 3-4 empires working together to easily beat the
shit out of a purifier in the first 50 years. But thats another story.

I think it would be better to implement a function that allowes you to force a purifier to attack another empire
first insteat of us. Making another empire look more interesting. Maybe a fake attack from the other empire.
One of our ships camouflaged with the flag and look of the other system send to this empire to attack the
purifier from there side. Or we need to pretend there is no life in our territory. Maybe all part of the new spy system?

Diplomacy Drone 896: "Hsssss. Why no eat head? Is good biomass."

Diplomacy Drone 420: "If send head back, make rest of species spicier. Hssss."

Diplomacy Drone 896: "Hsssss."

Diplomacy Drone 420: "Hss."

(EDIT: Since it's a Devouring Swarm, the purpose of a Diplomacy Drone is to eat diplomats.)

Ok for them this really makes more sense. ;) But he wrote Swarm & Purifier.

=>> build relations with a devouring swarm/fanatic purifiers,
So your answer covers the other side. =)) Was a good laugh too.

I'm not sure about this particular version of it, but there should be some way to prod purging nations towards your rivals. Or even just "accidentally" letting them know that there's another nation that exists to draw fire off you.
