This might not be the best place to post this, as it might be the vanilla problem, but I am playing with HIP, so I am much more interested in solution for HIP.
I had a very strange bug, playing as a duke in France, I went on a crusade for Egypt. While in Egypt, King of England declares war on King of France. In a previous save it also made King of France declare war on Aragon.
But the problem is, my troops in Egypt were automatically attacked by the troops of some Duke from England, who was also one of the many crusaders. Not only it caused the two armies to fight, it set the whole stack one against the other. So in the end I and many other crusaders were fighting against the pope and other crusaders because of war in Europe.
Obviously, should not happened, is not WAD, and I guess declaring war on a fellow catholic while his armies are on a crusade should have serious repercussions from the pope and the rest of the catholic world (automatic excommunication for instance..)
I can provide saved game, and the rest if needed.
