I am playing on a 2019 Intel Mac.

Currently, any game I start will crash once I reach somewhere between 1495-1505. This has happened with separate England and France playthroughs. I haven't tried Castille yet since it feels like I'm wasting my time since the game just continuously crashes. My best guess is some event is firing around this time and is causing the crash but the game crashes before I can see which event it may be.

I recently purchased and installed the Art of War and Rights of Man DLC. Is there a known issue of either of these DLC causing a similar Issue?

I guess it might also be the latest Leviathan update as I've been seeing there are issues with its launch but I'm not sure. Would it be best to just revert to an older version until a subsequent patch comes out if Leviathan is the cause?

Thanks in advance for any help. I'm a new player who started playing this month and I'm having a ton of fun after playing Crusader Kings for several years so it's really disappointing to not be able to continue any campaigns currently.

You might have picked one of the worse times to get in to the game, I am pretty sure the 1504 crash is related to the Conquest and Paradise DLC, the game tends to crash if you don't own it. Even if you have the DLC it crashes on a further date.

It seems like best thing to do is to wait for week or two for them to fix it or start a game with no expectation of finishing it.

I was a long term EUIV player and decided to come back after a while and I have never seen the game in this state before, its actually unplayable right now.

Here are the list of posts you might find more details,

Yeah no fixes yet, it's happening to a lot of people, myself included. We just have to wait and see if they release ANOTHER hotfix. In my errors log it mentioned missing great building or something, which none of my DLC have. SO perhaps they added something to the base game that triggers an event which only a certain DLC actually can run. That's totally speculation though.

If it helps you at all a couple of other forum posts have mentioned that having either the Res Publica or Conquest of Paradise expansions may solve/partially solve the issue. I'm not sure if either of those has anything to do with great buildings though.

I don't have either and I'll be darned if I pay a company for expansions just so the game isn't bugged
