I'll be running the game on a desktop, but I have a couple of friends who've only got laptops using integrated graphics. Has anyone tried running the beta on Intel Iris?
Well, my one friend is running an Intel Iris chipset on his recent-model Macbook Pro, so that's the ballpark I'm hoping for.
But it's a turn based game, it might stutter like hell during the mechs movement, but once there it might look allright. If it's just about playing the game versus playing it nicely.....*shrugs* It might work. They'd most certainly have to turn all the graphics options to their lowest settings. worst case is to give it a try, and if it doesn't work at all, then start saving pennies to buy some new laptops. With the prices of hardware coming down, you can buy a fairly decent laptop with $500 that should be able to run this game fairly easily. Might take a few months of saving, but always worth it.
Just try playing your copy of the game on his computer first, then you'll know if he can play it or notThanks, everyone. I figured this might be the case, I just wanted to see if we had any first- or second-hand experiences before I sent a Steam gift.![]()
