Currently, the game events are not integrated (or very little) with occurrences outside the event system. What I mean by that?

It is easier to explain with a example. The “Feast” event is not dependent on games occurrences, like: if the realm is at peace or at war, if the host is trying to kill a guest, if a guest is trying to kill another guest, if your guests are Wrathful Drunkards, etc.

Integrated events means the events should be totally dependent on game data (war, peace, characters traits and schemes). Currently, the events mostly feel like a separated entity from the rest of the game.

I know that integrated events are harder for the developers to make, but they are more rewarding, since they relate to what the player is doing and should feel more real.

I will give an example of an “integrated feast”:

1) MURDER PLOT: if a participant want to murder other participant, they get an event to approach the other entourage in order to have more chances to murder the target. This may backfire if the target discover something is off. (this makes having a feast both an opportunity and a danger depending on your popularity)

2) EXECUTE MURDER: if a participant plot is high enough, they may try to pull it off during the feast. This will depend in the feast realm security, but may backfire. If the host is the one doing the murder and he is caught, he should lose a lot of opinion with every guest. Of course, having someone be murdered in your feast will be horrible for the feast holder, meaning your feast will fail and you don’t get the normal stress reduction and opinion gain.

3) SEDUCE: of course, a feast should be a great event for seduction, since rulers of distance realms should have a hard time getting intimate with each other. Trowing a feast should be a good oportunity to advance your seductions scheme. You may get events if someone is trying to seduce your close relatives.

4) WAR: during a war, the ruler may attempt to convince the participants (diplomacy challenge) of how important is for everybody to contribute extra to the war effort. Depending on how it goes, the ruler may gain extra gold and some MAA and the vassals may gain extra favors with the ruler.

5) BRAWL: worth drunkard who dislike each other may start a brawl in the middle of your feast, much to the annoyance of the host.

6) PEASANTS: the peasants may resent you trowing a lavish feast when the realm is starving (high revolt chance and low control in capital), you main gain an event where the peasants petition a complain or ask for the leftovers. Chaos may or may not happen.
