The definition of a port is as follows:
port
(pôrt)
n.
a. A place on a waterway with facilities for loading and unloading ships.
b. A city or town on a waterway with such facilities.
c. The waterfront district of a city.
In Europa Universalis IV, the usage of the word port is in the meaning of definition b. However, the province is also defined as the Main Trade Port if it is inland, as in it not being located on a waterway.
The city of Paris in France is an example: http://i.imgur.com/v6KV4C8.jpg
Paris is located inland, and it is technically not a port city. While most main trade ports in the game are probably located on the coast, it would be more correct to call it the "main trade city", or "main trade province", since that can mean any and all provinces in the game.
While this could be called nitpicking, and while it would be a small, mostly unnoticeable change, it would still make a great video game even better.
