Instantaneous switching of province ownership

Is this working as intended? I owned the two leftmost provinces in Morocco as Portugal, a small army of 9 rebels popped in the bottom province an started sieging. After a very short time (as far as I could tell they didn't actually take the province (maybe they assaulted?)) these two provinces reverted back to Morocco without any message or anything, all i got was a reconquest casus belli on Morrocco, I'd managed to make Casablanca into a core just prior to this happening. Is this really how it's supposed to happen?

Were you the lesser partner in any wars? The war leader can give away provinces in your territory where other nations have cores, even if those nations aren't in the war themselves. The rebels were probably coincidental - you were just involved in the losing side of a war.

Let me guess, you were in a war with England leading it? If you don't check the box saying otherwise, warleaders can give away your provinces in deals.

That's what happend to me twice. England lost their war with France and the peace deal included me giving my North African possessions to Morocco. What should be changed is the fact that you don't get a popup with the peace deal unless you're the one who negotiated it. I switched to settings to show me every peace deal which then showed me peace deals from wars in which I was a lesser partner. The default settings should give you a popup for peace deals signed by nations that you are at war/in a war with you.

You can uncheck the box allowing England (or whomever) to cede your provinces, but I agree, when an allied war ends it doesn't notify me, which makes it feel... a little empty. Especially when I had been fighting in it and suddenly we're at peace again.

Well since the board appears to be moving at breakneck speed it's understandable if i haven't seen those other posts since many of them have been consigned to the 5-6th page by now

Ah and yes, war with england as warleader, next time I'm ticking that box, wherever that box is
