Why Is It So Much Of A Bloody Issue Trying To Play The Damn Expansion Packs For Paradox Games!?!??!?! I Pay My Money As Much As Everyone Else But It Takes Me Hours To Sort This Out. This Is The Situation:

I Have A Brand New Expensive Laptop Which I Use To Access The Internet. Unfortunately The Graphics Card, Being A Laptop Is Not Up To Running Eu3. Not A Major Problem As I Have A Powerful Dell Desktop Which I Use To Play Games On, Including Hoi And Eu3. This Desktop Is Not Connected To The Internet......that's What I Use My Laptop For. Can You See The Problem Already?

I Pay And Download Paradox Expansion Packs Through The Damn Gamersgate Downloader........then What How Am I Supposed To Play The Games? Normally For A Patch I Download It To My Desktop And Then Just Transfer It To My Desktop Using A Memory Stick. But You Can't Do This For The Expansion Pack.

Why Can't They Issue A Disk?

Aaaarrrrgggghhhhh I Even Took The Day Off Today To Play 'in' I Have Spent 2 Hours Trying To Figure Out How To Play. Help!!!!!!

I havent yet downloaded the game so I'm not a 100% sure, but try this.

Install EU3 on your laptop
Install NA on your laptop
Install IN on your laptop

Then just copy the entire EU map over to your PC. This is usually a bad thing to do since there might be register entries missing, but I never had a problem with Paradox games when doing this :)

On a side note: how can you have an expensive new laptop and NOT be able to play EU3 on it? ... i play EU3 on my laptop from work ( wich is a a Dell Latitude D830 ) and it works fine!

Me too

Isn't a way to move entire downloader's folder and registry strings into your gaming machine? also how about installing the expansion to an empty folder and then transfer all the folders ? (& registry string)

Again, you need to make a copy of the setup.exe file in Gamersgate. That file gets extracted as soon as you start the setup. That way you can just install the game on any non-internet computer, without update issues because of any missing registry keys.

Ah, I had the same problem once when Napoleon came out and I had no internet because I just recently moved to another apartment.
You need to do this:
Download the expansion on your computer which has internet. Then in the Gamersgate Downloader click on "install".
Only when you do this, will the installer actually create an .exe which can be used for installation.
Now, while the installer is still open, do not proceed, but copy the whole folder in which you downloaded In Nomine to your USB-stick.
If you follow this, you should have an installable IN now.

Edit: Kading beat me to it xD

OK.......I am going to try this now. Just trying to find a blank disc big enough to take it all. EU3 et al is 657Mb on disk and I have a 700Mb disc......it's going to be close :)

I fully understand the pirate issue. I was just ranting off :) I can't and won't connect my desktop to the internet due to security reasons. Hence why I use my laptop, it is purely a vessel to surf the internet, if it becomes corrupted I just lose my laptop and not my desktop which contains sensitive work.

He he sorry It's just that I have been so looking forward to this update. I could not sleep last night I was up at midnight to download the game up realised that I would have to wait till 8am UK time, took the day off work which was hard enough and now I have wasted 2.5 valuable play time :)
