Hi I realize there are threads on this perhaps but I am not tech savvy and could use some help. I purchased Rome Gold from Walmart and tried to install it. The first time it installed but would crash at start up. Tried reinstalling it, get through install phase then at end says it didn't install, but it created an empty file in the x86 program file folder...anyone have some thoughts?

I would uninstall it, and then manually delete the game directories. Then search the registry with regedit for any mention of Rome or Vae Victis and delete them. Now try the install again - except don't accept the default directory, instead make a new one like c:\games\rome .
