I have installed DIAM. This created a folder titled DIAM with numerous files and folders in it. It also deleted all texted from various AI files in the event folder and replaced it with a one line statement "removed AI events replaced by DAIM events." After playing the game for a while it appears that no events are firing, so I manually fired, using the F12 command, an Italian event 123501. The program would not fire the event. I check to see if the event had already fired in the save file, and it had not. Is there supposed to be code in the /db/events file or does the program know to look in the DAIM file verses the DB/events file? Was I supposed to do more during the installation? Any ideas?

But should my AI files have nothing in them? Before installation they had code in them; afterwards, all important AI files were empty. It just seemed strange.
You are talking about the eventfiles not the aifiles . And yes , they are now empty because DAIM uses its own files
