When I try to install Majesty fresh from the CD, I get an error. This happens immediately after clicking install from the autorun menu. The error that pops up is:

Internal failure
Error Number: 0x80040707

I can click ok, which brings up the same error a second time. After clicking okay again, it goes on to the installer. The license agreement page is blank (as in no text in the license box), but I can click Yes. After confirming, it takes me to picking where I want to install. After clicking next, at the Setup Type menu, the choices for setup types is blank. If I click next, I get an error message that says:

Insufficient Space in ""
-2147483647 bytes more disk space is needed.
You will now have the opportunity to select a different location
or you can click 'Cancel'and free up the required space.

At this time, I am unable to cancel out of the installer, so I have to ctrl-alt-del to bring up the task manager, and force it to close. After the installer finally closes, I get one final error message:

Setup failed to run installation:
The remote procedure call failed.

Can anyone help me please? I'm running windows XP home edition.

I have no idea.

How long have you had the disc?
Are there visible scratches on it? Although it's kind of a useless question, as there may be "invisible" scratches.
Have you tried freeing up some disk space or verified that there's enough?

I'd try getting a new disk.

Is this esoteric?

Yeah if I had to guess I'd say the setup program (InstallShield) is corrupt.
Googling the error seems to indicate that it's a kind of generic unhandled exception.
Any error after that first error is kind of irrelevant because who knows what "Internal failure Error Number: 0x80040707" actually means in the context of your installation, so I'm going to guess the diskspace issue isn't relivant (GIGO).
