Installation issue

I just downloaded CK and DV on to my computer from gamersgate. Once the download has completed, I click on the install icon. Once I have initialized the install, it appears that all of the source files are corrupt and I have had to abort the installation. My computer runs EU3 without any issues so I would imagine the only compatibility issue might be with vista. I would like to retry the download to get better results, but I can't figure out how to get the downloader to start over from scratch. Any help would be appreciated. I will be happy to supply any other information you might need to fix the problem.

Thanks I found the forum and posted there, and I was able to complete the installation of both CK and DV.

But now, I need help with two things:

1. How, and where, do I register?

2. Why does winrar fail to extract the files for patch 2.1b to my Crusader Kings game file? Several efforts have yielded the same result: I am told that access to the files is denied. I have been downloading patches for Paradox games for almost eight years, and have never had the slightest problem before today. I have even tried moving the .rar file into my CK folder and extracting it there.

Here is how winrar explains my problem:

if vista is best to install games to something other than default program files, i make folder C:\Games and install there because of weird problems accessing anything in program files

or maybe go to CK folder, right click and deselect read-only

The switch away from read-only was not enough, but creating a new folder made the patch work. Silly vista. Thanks for your help!

You can register your game under MyGames/Registrations, the same place where you registered EUIII and NA
