Install shield only allows Uninstall, but crashes if selected

Wanted to get back to original version of Armegeddon. Running on Windows7, used that that uninstall the program. Tried to install Doomsday from CD. Install Shield came up but only with the Uninstall option available.
Tried to run that but it crashes. What Now?

PS Also have game on desktop (Windows XP). Now have nice clean version of Armegeddon to play with.

Hi Sorry you encountered a problem.
