Install problems

I was able to download and install DV.

I noticed that a Start Menu icon wasn't created as with other Paradox games I've purchased.

I tried to launch the DV execute file. I got a missing font error (Arial8) in the GFX/font directory. I copied the font from the CK GFX/font directory and pasted it into the DV GFX/font directory.

Next time I tried to launch the game it went to Startup screen. However, it froze while Initiating Globals. I had to force quite from the game.

I have tried reinstalling several times and get the same sequence of events.

sflcat -- did you install DV over CK? It doesn't work as a standalone application.
If you installed it correctly, your CK GFX/font directory is the same as your DV GFX/font directory.

So when I install it, I should just install it in the same directory as CK? When I downloaded and installed it from GG, I just used the defaults that were provided.

Yes

That should have worked, but somehow it didn't. Therefor it is best to try it again.
