HBS has crafted an exceptionally fine BATTLETECH and now BATTLETECH HEAVY METAL Experience.

An Aurigan Restoration Campaign...

A “Of Unknown Origins” Mini-Campaign...

Dozens and dozens and dozens of Contract Types and Shipboard Events...

And an incomparable MechLab and MercLIFE experience.

But what can top even this?

Sharing your BATTLETECH Experience with others.

Check out Inner Sphere Wars. Season 7 has just begun and now is the best time for new players to join and former player to rejoin the effort!

A few words from the founder of Inner Sphere Wars, @Grayson Marik:

In Season VII, you will be able to create your own Merc outfit, either alone or with friends and play against other mercenaries. Your company will have the oportunity to earn MRBC ratings, which open the doors to more lucrative contracts. Also, if you are loyal to one of the factions, they might give you access to their limited or even unique faction Mechs, while you are under their employ.

Enjoy MercLIFE in a persistent universe against your fellow BATTLETECH gamers. : )

And as ever, good luck and good gaming!

So, how exactly does this work? Does it use HBSBT?
It does use HBSBT as its Combat Back one. But there is a whole series of Command, Economic and Strategic Layers that are there to be explored. New gamers fall into a Unit with the more experienced Players so it is a VERY user-friendly process with everyone having a vested interest in new players learning the ropes and becoming more proficient.

@Grayson Marik has put together a series of Web Interfaces and a Discord Channel and now... damn, 3 years worth of iterations on building an immersive BATTLETECH world.

Here is an invite to the ISW Discord: https://discord.gg/uBXYfcU
Check it out.
They’ll answer all the questions you might have.

It does. It seems a bit convoluted, but there’s more details in the League Rules on the site.
Convoluted? Maybe. Though I would say immersive, comprehensive and layered.

The important thing to understand it is that your commitment can Range the gambit of joining a Unit where you pick up a couple matches a week. Everything else is picked up by the Unit Commander and XO, you just have to report your wins, losses and forces involved. On the other hand, as you come to understand how ISW works, you can delve deeper into th exams at your own speed, eventually commanding a Unit of your own.

It really can become a very rewarding, slightly addictive gaming experience. : )
