i have a few questins about inmigration...

1-What are the inmigration rates for every ideology in power?

2-Does slavery keep inmigrants from coming?

3-Does USA get a bonus in immigration that other countries don't?

USA used to have a bonus.
I'm almost sure they still do as of V:R.

Truth! Although dampened a bit, the US is still the main attraction for immigrants unless a player makes good immigrant-friendly policy choices and gets a bit of luck, meaning that the US is not making the same immigrant-friendly policy choices.

I suppose the way to phrase it is to say that all things being equal, the USA will win the immigrant war. You can't be simply as good as. You gotta be BETTER!

Yes, USA still gets a small bonus, less than before but still an additional bonus on top of what it gets for being in the Americas and/or having all the social reforms.

the wiki is interesting to get into topic, but dont take those statements as hard rules. for example you can get immigrants with a conservative party in power (brazil has got a conservative full citizenship party that works well). btw, slavery wont stop immigration - AFAIK it will hamper immigration though.

I must clarify some of the statements being done earlier in this thread:

Ideology does not matter at all. As long as your party is a full citizenship and not being moralist, any party is just as good as another.

Being civilized is a requirement. No uncivs will ever get immigrants.

See my signature for other conclusions!

1-the same for all, really.
2-not necessarily, it only decreases the flow. This is for ruling party stance. Whether country allowes slaves or not has no meaning.
3-yes.

Not true! Uncivs get immigrants from other uncivs and China has lots of LR cultures.

Actually, I've never seem that happen. Usually when playing Japan, you can get immigrants, but I've never seen immigrants before civilizing. Same goes for Persia. Have you ever seen any immigrants in an unciv? Which nation did you play and from where did the immigrants come? Just curious! I'll try to replicate it.

I cannot recall which country it was in real game but you can easily replicate it by modding the best immigration friendly factors in a country and make it unciv. With Japan it may be due to not so good overall conditions. Actually in normal games you won't see much immigration as unciv but nontheless it is possible.

Actually, my first conclusion, that uncivs don't get any immigrants, was made by playing Persia, giving it all the best conditions (100% plurality, all reforms, immigrant friendly party, no debt, free slots). No immigrants showed up until Persia joined the civilized world. So even by doing just exactly what you said (in V:R), the unciv couldn't get any immigrants. I think you might have mistaken yourself, maybe you captured some provinces from China and got internal migration? Or maybe we are playing different versions? I'm playing V:R with official patch and OH's fixes.

Everything I say applies to 1.04. I don't recall seeing a changelog for Revs but this feature probably wouldn't make it there anyway.
